The drizzle had stopped by the time lunch ended and the BGT field began the first of the two 15 minute qualifying sessions. A strong breeze had begun to dry the track in places, but it was too early for slicks at the start. Despite the engine problems of earlier in the day apparently being cured, the engine steadfastly refused to cooperate with either of the Aero 8’s two drivers. “There’s no power at all,” said Oliver Bryant later. “ it was hard enough just moving off, but I was going through the chicane in second just to try and prevent the engine from stalling!” The Morgan would start Sunday’s race from the back of the grid....more

The first round of the FIA GT3 European Championship saw Oliver Bryant and his team-mate Maxime Dumarey come away with 2 top 10 finishes (in a field of 46 cars) and they were the 2nd placed Porsche (out of 9) in both races....more

David Yates and Graham Scarborough scored a memorable victory in the opening race in the 2006 Heritage Grand Touring Car Challenge during the F3/GT meeting at Oulton Park (Cheshire) on Easter Monday (April 17). In front of a 10,000-strong Bank Holiday crowd, the HGTCC pack delivered a highly entertaining race with plenty of action and battles throughout the field. Team Aero Struggled to fined a balance on the new Avon Tyres at the first meeting of the year. The compound was too hard for the car and this caused an oversteer problem which greatly affected the potential of the car. Avon have accepted the problem and are making a soft compound rear tyre for the team to test prior to the second meeting in May at Donington....more
