Olly returns to the GT3 Podium at Silverstone with an old acquaintance!

Olly was reunited with the ex-Ecurie Ecosse Barwell Motorsport BMW Z4 GT3 at the Silverstone Festival to take part in the new MRL GT3 Legends series. Having been re-commissioned by Pursuit Racing, Olly qualified the car in its first competitive session for 10 years. Olly’s time was good enough for P4 on the grid. Others fitted a second set of new tyres, whereas Olly carried over the qualifying tyres. Although this compromised performance in the early laps, his race pace was very consistent and he brought the car home 3rd overall in the 50 minute encounter. The car ran faultlessly and 12 years since Olly won the Silverstone 500 sharing with Marco Attard, he was back onto the podium in the same car at the same circuit! Olly Wins 40th anniversary Morgan Challenge Race

40 years since 1 MOG completed in the opening round of the Morgan Challenge series in the hands of Grahame Bryant in 1985 (the year Olly was born!). The 1977 machine once again returned to the top spot at Silverstone. After securing a commanding pole position, Olly enjoyed a fun scrap with Elliot Patterson and former BGT team mate Keith Ahlers. Despite losing 4th gear in the closing laps, Olly held on to secure the victory. Unfortunately, the gearbox damage meant Grahame could not compete in race 2, which was a great shame. 1 MOG will be repaired and ready to fight again next season!...more
