Double duty for Olly at Spa Classic - 22-24th May

Sunday 24th May 2026

Olly was on double duty in the Sixties Endurance Race at Spa Francorchamps. In scorching conditions, he shared the no.45 Porsche 911 with Frank Laudenklos as well as the no.7 1965 Jaguar E-Type with Vincent Gaye.

There was no standalone 2.0L Cup race at Spa, meaning that the no.45 crew were invited to race in the 2-hour Sixties Endurance race on Saturday evening. Olly started the car and managed a worsening vibration through the 45-minute stint. This turned out to be just a wheel balance issue, and with fresh rear wheels fitted at the stop, the car was perfect for the second hour of the race for owner Frank. The duo finished P10 in class and 4th Porsche 911 on Frank’s debut visit to the Francorchamps circuit.

Sharing the E-Type with local hero Vincent Gaye, the pair lined up P9 overall and 4th in class in the 54-car grid. Vincent started the race and kept the car in contention throughout despite the testing conditions with high temperatures and low sunlight. Olly jumped aboard once Vincent had completed the mandatory 50% race distance. Despite serving a longer pit stop penalty due to Olly’s elite driver grading, he soon settled into a rhythm and overcame a brake balance issue to bring the car home 7th overall and on the GT4 class podium in 3rd place.
